Koinonia Retreat Weekend

Koin•o•ni•a: a Greek word meaning community in Christ.

Koinonia is a retreat that helps young men and women to enhance their relationship with Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. Activities include talks by young adults on topics related to the Paschal Mystery and Christian life and their integration into the life of a young person with opportunities to discuss, question and reflect. Community is at the heart of this weekend that allows students and young adults to get away and not worry about papers, tests, dorms, cafeteria food, stress, worry, problems, and drama. Retreatants are not on their knees the entire time in prayer. They also have free time, share stories, have fun, play games, eat food, listen to music, get to know each other and build community.

Random Prayers:
Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host - by the Divine Power of God - cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.
